JOB DESCRIPTION
Position Title: Director of Student Ministries
Purpose of Position: To provide consistent leadership and oversight to all children’s and youth ministries, whose purpose is to glorify God by connecting our youth, children, and their families to Jesus and teaching them how to be His disciples.
Reports To: Senior Minister and Elders
Time Required: 40 hours per week
Position Status: Full-time
Salary: Determined on qualifications

Primary Responsibilities
Continue growing in a personal relationship with Jesus; model Christ likeness to students and their families.
Develop and implement a strategy and goals for growing the student ministries through teams of volunteers. This includes the active and continual recruitment, development, and retention of volunteer youth and children’s ministry workers.
Develop and implement a comprehensive age-appropriate Christian education program that engages the entire family.
Secondary Responsibilities:
Develop a budget for youth, children, and Christian education ministry areas, for approval in the annual budget.
Periodically report progress on ministry goals.
Basic Qualifications:
An immersed believer with a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and continued spiritual growth
Significant experience (paid or volunteer) working with youth and families, building and leading ministry teams, managing projects/events, and leading the implementation of a vision
The ability to inspire others to advance the kingdom and seek fulfillment of their life purpose by utilizing their talents and spiritual gifts in kingdom work
Gift for teaching
Leadership skills including building relationships and being a team player
College or Seminary degree preferred
